Intelli-Healthcare introduces an innovative nursing training system designed to address the challenges of reduced clinical training time in Hong Kong. This system leverages a near-real-live AI avatar integrated with a comprehensive patient monitoring system to create highly realistic simulation environments.
The platform gathers diverse patient data, mimicking real-time vital signs and symptoms, and dynamically generates various patient conditions. This allows nursing students to gain extensive practical experience in patient assessment, intervention planning, and clinical decision-making.
Key innovations include:
• AI-Driven Patient Simulation: The AI avatar provides humanized interactions and generates dynamic patient conditions, replicating real-world clinical scenarios.
• Real-Time Performance Analysis: The system provides immediate, responsive feedback on students' actions, enhancing learning and skill refinement.
• Adaptive Learning: The platform adjusts simulation complexity based on individual student progress, ensuring personalized and effective training.

Reduced clinical training hours in Hong Kong's nursing education necessitates innovative solutions for practical skill development. Intelli-Healthcare was conceived from the observation that traditional simulation often lacks the dynamic, human-like interaction crucial for effective learning. We aimed to bridge this gap by creating a system that simulates real-time patient conditions and provides immediate performance feedback.
Our hypothesis is that an AI-powered platform, incorporating a near-real-live avatar and integrated patient monitoring, will significantly enhance nursing students' clinical competency. By generating diverse, realistic patient scenarios and offering responsive analysis, Intelli-Healthcare provides a safe, repeatable learning environment.
This approach succeeds due to its:

Intelli-Healthcare leverages AI, including natural language processing for the avatar, and generative AI for dynamic patient condition generation and real-time performance analysis. Integrated medical device data streams ensure realistic simulations. Development requires GenAI usage, medical device integration knowledge, and robust cloud infrastructure.
Market demand will be validated through pilot programs with nursing institutions and feedback from healthcare professionals. Core functionalities include:
• AI Avatar Interaction: Simulating patient communication and symptom presentation.
• Dynamic Patient Monitoring: Generating realistic vital signs and patient states.
• Real-Time Performance Feedback: Analyzing student actions and providing immediate, actionable insights.
