Section A: Project Information

Project Title:
AI WisdomStories: An AI-powered Values Education Project
Project Description (maximum 300 words):

This project is an innovative educational program designed to enhance students' creative writing and ability to use AI tools to create multimedia productions. At its core, this project combines values education, guiding students to explore ethical concepts, and creating a short video that is engaging and fun to watch via interactive and creative processes.

In this program, first, students will use Perplexity, an answer engine, for detailed research to support their writing. It provides insights into historical events, environmental topics, and character analysis. Ultimately, students will create their own narratives. Following this, they will translate their narratives into completed voice lines using text-to-speech technology.

Next, students will begin creating videos using Runway. Initially, they will use text to generate video content, using a self-trained ChatGPT AI to improve their prompts. This practice will help them write clear and descriptive prompts. Further lessons empower students to create refined visuals using image-to-video generation, alongside practical instruction on camera control and video editing using CapCut.

This program aims to provide a cross-curricular learning, including history, English, and information and communication technology. It offers diverse themes for schools to address their needs and enhances students' understanding of the content.

Section C: Project Details

Please answer the questions from the perspectives below regarding your project.
1.Problem Identification and Relevance in Education (Maximum 300 words)

While teaching STEM courses, I observed a recurring challenge: students often found lessons unengaging and disconnected from the course. Nowadays, STEM courses frequently ask students to create simple images or digital products that lack deeper relevance, leaving students unfulfilled and detached from the learning process. Therefore, the core problem is clear: without a meaningful output product and skills that can be applied beyond the classroom, students quickly lose interest and motivation.

Therefore, inspired by this challenge, I created a course that not only includes practical AI skills but also focuses on planning lessons that allow students to create meaningful products, engaging them while incorporating valuable educational principles.

I firmly believe this approach will succeed because it aligns closely with students' interests and the school's vision. In an era where students use social media and platforms like YouTube every day, this course can transform their identity from content consumers to content producers. It inspires students to envision aspirational careers and equips them with the ability to create professional-quality content using AI. Additionally, embedding values education into this creative process ensures that the learning experience is meaningful, providing students with takeaways beyond the technical skills alone.

2a. Feasibility and Functionality (for Streams 1&2 only) (Maximum 300 words)

.

2b. Technical Implementation and Performance (for Stream 3&4 only) (Maximum 300 words)

There is an AI that serves as a learning tool, which can refine students' prompts.
1. The AI will first get the original prompts from students.
2. My trained chatbot (chatGPT mini 4.0 via Poe) refines these prompts
3. Students use a refined prompt in Runway AI to produce videos.

Work Plan:
Completed: A Prototype customized chatGPT.
Next Steps: Run this program in a pilot school, and conduct an evaluation research

3. Innovation and Creativity (Maximum 300 words)

My project combines innovative and creative elements by providing a course that blends AI-driven storytelling with values education. Students will utilize AI tools while learning the skills and competencies necessary for AI literacy. Unlike traditional STEM projects, which often focus on the instruction of how to use the AI, my project aims to teach students what tools they can use in order to create useful things for themselves. Therefore, this course includes AI tools that enhance students' prompts. allowing students to translate Chinese prompts into English, improving the prompts so they better suit video AI applications. This enables students to focus on creating videos that truly reflect their ideas. However, it is essential for the tutor to ensure that the tools are used appropriately and that students do not become overly reliant on them.

4. Scalability and Sustainability (Maximum 300 words)

Hiring professionals with an education and computing background will ensure scalability and sustainability. This team will combine tutors and technicians who continually refine AI tools. To address potential bottlenecks, such as a lack of schools joining the program, we will promote more courses and seek collaborations with universities and companies.

Long-term user engagement and adaptability will be sustained by actively collecting feedback from students and teachers, monitoring teacher performance, and continuously evaluating educational content based on the demands of schools and teenagers.

5. Social Impact and Responsibility (Maximum 300 words)

My project addresses significant social issues, including student disengagement and limited access to advanced technological skills. By incorporating AI tools and video production skills into lessons, it enhances students' interest and understanding of various job opportunities. This approach provides an alternative perspective beyond traditional academic ability, equipping students with new knowledge regardless of their starting point or academic performance.

Furthermore, it enhances students' responsibility for using AI. In each lesson, the tutor will tell students that they should be responsible for how they use the information provided by Pelexity or the video generated by Runway AI.
